About the Role
Are you an experienced Caretaker or Site Manager with a background in construction, maintenance, or facilities management? Looking for a rewarding role where your practical skills help create a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained school environment? Complete Classroom Services is recruiting Caretakers and Site Managers to support a range of Primary, Secondary, and SEN schools in the Ealing surrounding areas. We’re looking for hands-on individuals who can take ownership of school sites, manage day-to-day maintenance, and ensure everything runs smoothly and safely. If you’ve worked in construction, facilities, or building services, your transferable skills are highly valued in the education sector.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Overseeing the general upkeep and security of school buildings and grounds
- Carrying out or overseeing minor repairs, maintenance, and improvement works (DIY, carpentry, plumbing, electrical)
- Managing contractors and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards
- Conducting regular safety checks (fire alarms, emergency exits, water systems)
- Supporting school events and site setups
- Monitoring stock levels, equipment, and site budgets
- Ensuring safeguarding and site security are always maintained
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience as a caretaker, site manager, or within a construction/maintenance role
- Strong practical knowledge of general building maintenance and repairs
- A proactive, can-do attitude with good problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities
- Understanding of Health & Safety and site compliance
- An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply through us)
