Salary: £16-£18 depending on experience

Hours: 8:00am-16:00pm

Complete classroom services are seeking a reliable, proactive, and dedicated Caretaker to join our vibrant school community in havering. This is a full-time role offering an immediate start for the right candidate.

About the Role:As a School Caretaker, you will play a key role in ensuring the school site is safe, clean, and well-maintained. You will be responsible for the security, maintenance, and general upkeep of the premises, including minor repairs, grounds keeping, and supporting the day-to-day operational needs of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the school is secure, clean, and well-maintained at all times
  • Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Open and close the premises daily
  • Monitor heating, lighting, and alarm systems
  • Liaise with contractors and oversee site works when necessary
  • Support with setting up for school events and activities

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience in a caretaking, site management, or facilities role (preferred but not essential)
  • A good understanding of health and safety practices
  • Basic DIY and maintenance skills
  • A proactive attitude and ability to work independently
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
