About the Role
Complete classroom services are seeking a committed and passionate School Chef to join our dedicated team, supporting the nutritional needs of our students in a nurturing and inclusive educational environment. As the School Chef, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving high-quality meals in a safe and hygienic kitchen environment. The school provides a safe and structured setting for pupils with a wide range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. As our Chef, you’ll play a vital role in creating a positive dining experience that contributes to each student’s wellbeing and readiness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and cook nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements and individual needs
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and food presentation in line with school and statutory policies
- Manage kitchen supplies, stock levels and food ordering within budget
- Work closely with school staff to support any individual dietary or allergy requirements
- Supervise kitchen assistants (if applicable) and contribute to a collaborative team culture
- Maintain accurate records and comply with food safety regulations
The school are Looking for Someone Who:
- Has previous experience working as a chef, ideally in an educational or care setting
- Understands the importance of food in supporting emotional and physical wellbeing
- First Aid trained or qualified
- Holds relevant food hygiene certifications (Level 2 or above)
- Can work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
