About the Role:

Complete classroom services are seeking an experienced and dedicated School Site Manager to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our educational facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, technical knowledge, and leadership qualities to ensure the smooth functioning of the school environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual committed to maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-organised school site.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Overseeing the security, safety, and cleanliness of the school site
  • Carrying out regular maintenance and minor repair work
  • Managing contractors on site and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
  • Inspecting the school site and premises, on a regular basis, to identify the need for repairs or improvements; undertaking these and referring matters to the Head of School for remedial action to be taken where appropriate.
  • Opening and locking up the site, including early mornings and occasional evenings
  • Carrying out regular inspections, testing and servicing of ancillary equipment, e.g. fire alarm systems, to ensure that they are in an operational condition, referring matters to the Head of School for remedial action to be taken where appropriate.
  • Responding promptly to emergencies such as leaks, break-ins, or fire alarms
  • Supporting school events with site set-up and logistics

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (e.g. caretaker, facilities or site manager)
  • Practical maintenance skills (basic plumbing, decorating, minor repairs)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • High standards of professionalism and personal integrity
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Flexibility, initiative, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • A full, clean driving licence is desirable
