About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled, practical, and motivated individual to join a school in Windsor as a Premises Manager. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining safe, efficient, and welcoming facilities.

It is a small independent school in Windsor. We view our team members as our extended family and most staff have worked with the school for many years.
Responsibilities
The Premises Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running, maintenance, and safety of the site. Key duties include:
- Carrying out first-line repairs and general maintenance of buildings and facilities
- Managing the site and cleaning teams
- Overseeing contractors and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintaining site security and safeguarding equipment and premises
- Driving duties as required
- Monitoring and testing building systems to ensure full regulatory compliance
Flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people are essential. Basic computer literacy and a solid understanding of health and safety are required.
The successful candidate should ideally have previous experience in a similar role and hold a full, valid UK driving licence. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in estates, facilities management, or caretaking (preferably in an educational setting)
- Working knowledge of health and safety legislation
- Practical skills in maintenance, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
- A full, clean UK driving licence
- A minibus driving qualification (desirable) or willingness to undertake the MIDAS course
- A proactive, can-do attitude with excellent communication skills
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A positive, enthusiastic approach and commitment to high standards
