CCS are in search of a highly motivated and inspiring Teacher of Design & Technology to join an outstanding co-educational secondary school (11–16). This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about DT, woodwork, art, and creative problem-solving, and enjoys engaging students in hands-on, practical lessons.

The successful candidate will work as a Teacher of Design & Technology, delivering high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will plan lessons, assess progress, and support students’ personal development, helping them develop creativity, technical skills, and critical thinking.

As part of the role, the Teacher of Design & Technology will contribute to curriculum development, support extra-curricular activities such as clubs or competitions, and work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
Person Specification:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Design & Technology or related practical subjects.
  • Experience with students aged 11–16 and adapting lessons to varying abilities.
  • Passion for DT, woodwork, art, and inspiring students to develop practical and creative skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to working in an outstanding Ofsted school environment.
