Complete Classroom Services are currently recruiting for a PPA Teacher / Aspiring Teacher to join a specialist SEND secondary school in Brixton. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher with a SEND background or an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step towards a teaching career.

You will work closely with the Deputy Headteacher, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school while gaining valuable leadership and classroom experience.

  • Providing classroom cover using pre-planned lessons, primarily during the mornings.
  • Supervising and coordinating daily staff cover across the school.
  • Supporting the delivery of physiotherapy programmes (full moving and handling training provided).
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils to promote engagement and confidence.
  • Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to support school trips, events and daily operations.
  • Supporting pupils with personal care where required.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience teaching or supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
  • Are an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to progress into teaching, or an experienced SEND teacher.
  • Are proactive, flexible and confident working within a specialist setting.
  • Hold an enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service.
  • Are passionate about supporting young people with additional needs.
