Complete Classroom Services are working with a SEN school located in the vibrant community of Hillingdon, who are looking for an Occupational Therapist to support primary aged pupils with diverse learning, social and physical needs. Salary: Band 5/6 (Dependent on Experience)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team. As a key member of staff, you will provide crucial support to children with a range of needs, including learning, developmental, and physical challenges. This is a full-time or part-time position, but we are open to considering job share arrangements for the right candidates. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team to make a meaningful difference to SEN pupils. As this will be a term-time only post, it champions an excellent work-life balance.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify individual needs and develop personalised intervention plans.
  • Delivering evidence-based therapy and support to both individuals and groups of children, addressing their specific goals and objectives.
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to support and intervention.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, progress, and interventions.
  • Actively contributing to the development and implementation of school-wide strategies to meet the diverse needs of our pupils.
  • Providing advice, guidance, and training to staff and parents on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will have:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with HCPC.
  • Proven experience in paediatric occupational therapy, ideally within an educational or SEN setting.
  • A strong understanding of the challenges faced by children with special educational needs and the ability to tailor interventions accordingly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and set therapeutic goals effectively.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
