About the Role
Complete Classroom Services are seeking an experienced and dedicated School Caretaker to support the day-to-day running, maintenance, security, and cleanliness of a school site in Enfield. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a caretaker within a school environment, with practical maintenance skills and a strong understanding of the importance of maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for pupils and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the security, safety, and cleanliness of the school site
- Carrying out general maintenance, minor repairs, decorating, and basic plumbing
- Conducting regular inspections of the school premises and identifying repairs or improvements required
- Opening and locking up the school site, including early mornings and occasional evenings
- Monitoring the condition of buildings, grounds, fixtures, and equipment
- Carrying out routine checks and reporting any issues requiring specialist attention
- Liaising with and supervising contractors when required
- Responding promptly to emergencies such as leaks, break-ins, or fire alarms
- Supporting school events with site set-up, room preparation, and general logistics
- Ensuring the school premises remain safe, clean, secure, and well maintained
- Reporting any significant maintenance or safeguarding concerns to the appropriate member of school leadership
