About the Role

Complete Classroom Services are seeking an experienced and dedicated School Caretaker to support the day-to-day running, maintenance, security, and cleanliness of a school site in Enfield. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a caretaker within a school environment, with practical maintenance skills and a strong understanding of the importance of maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for pupils and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the security, safety, and cleanliness of the school site
  • Carrying out general maintenance, minor repairs, decorating, and basic plumbing
  • Conducting regular inspections of the school premises and identifying repairs or improvements required
  • Opening and locking up the school site, including early mornings and occasional evenings
  • Monitoring the condition of buildings, grounds, fixtures, and equipment
  • Carrying out routine checks and reporting any issues requiring specialist attention
  • Liaising with and supervising contractors when required
  • Responding promptly to emergencies such as leaks, break-ins, or fire alarms
  • Supporting school events with site set-up, room preparation, and general logistics
  • Ensuring the school premises remain safe, clean, secure, and well maintained
  • Reporting any significant maintenance or safeguarding concerns to the appropriate member of school leadership
