About the Role

Complete Classroom Services is seeking to appoint a hardworking, energetic, and enthusiastic Site Manager to join a dedicated school team in Croydon.

This role will be predominantly based at one school but will also require regular visits to five other schools across Croydon.

As such, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and be comfortable travelling between sites.

This is a hands-on, mobile role covering reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance, repairs, installations, compliance, and general building upkeep across multiple school sites.

We're looking for an experienced professional who can confidently resolve a wide range of maintenance issues while demonstrating a proactive, solutions-focused approach and delivering a high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out reactive and planned building maintenance.
  • Undertake electrical fault finding and lighting repairs.
  • Complete plumbing repairs and general maintenance.
  • Clean air conditioning units and carry out basic fault diagnosis.
  • Repair and maintain door access systems, intruder alarms, and fire alarm systems.
  • Carry out carpentry work, including fire door maintenance.
  • Complete roofing and guttering repairs.
  • Install telephone lines and Wi-Fi extenders.
  • Carry out drain maintenance.
  • Maintain maintenance records and compliance logs.
  • Diagnose faults and maintain CCTV systems.
  • Carry out regular inspections, testing, and servicing of ancillary equipment, including fire alarm systems, referring any remedial works to the appropriate school leadership team.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies such as leaks, break-ins, and fire alarms.
  • Support school events with site set-up and logistics.
  • Travel between the six Croydon school sites as required.
  • The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • A minimum of three years' experience in commercial building maintenance.
  • Mechanical Qualification (Level 2 or 3).
  • Building Management System
  • Electrical Qualification (Level 3 Diploma).
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification.
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Carpentry Diploma.
  • Proven multi-trade maintenance experience.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • The ability to provide copies of all relevant trade certificates.
  • Own tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Experience working with CCTV systems.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
