CCS are currently seeking an experienced General Science Teacher with a Physics specialism to join a successful independent co-educational school in Bury.
This is a General Science teaching role, with responsibility for teaching Biology and Chemistry across KS3 and KS4 GCSE, alongside Physics from KS3 and KS4 GCSE through to Year 12 A Level.
The Role
The successful Science Teacher will be confident teaching across all three Science disciplines, with particular strength and subject knowledge in Physics.
You will be required to teach
- Biology β KS3 & KS4 GCSE
- Chemistry β KS3 & KS4 GCSE
- Physics β KS3 & KS4 GCSE
- A Level Physics β up to Year 12
This is an excellent opportunity for a General Science Teacher / Physics Teacher who enjoys teaching a broad Science curriculum while having the opportunity to teach Physics at A Level.
Physics Teaching
A strong Physics background is particularly important for this position.
The successful candidate will have the subject knowledge and confidence to teach Physics at KS3, KS4 GCSE and up to Year 12 A Level.
The school would suit a Teacher of Physics, Physics Teacher or General Science Teacher with a Physics specialism who is confident working with academically focused pupils.
- The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS.
- Has strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
- Is particularly confident teaching Physics up to Year 12 A Level.
- Has experience teaching General Science at KS3 and KS4 GCSE.
- Can confidently teach Biology and Chemistry at KS3 and KS4.
- Has strong Physics teaching experience.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils.
- Has excellent classroom management skills.
- Is enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about Science.
- Has experience within an independent or academically focused school environment (desirable, but not essential).
