Welfare Officer in Barnet

Company: Complete Classroom Services\\n\\nLocation: Barnet London\\n\\nHours: 8:00AM-16:00 PM\\n\\nSalary: £15–£17 per hour (dependent on experience)\\n\\nStart Date: February 2026\\n\\nComplete Classroom Services is seeking a compassionate, proactive, and highly organised School Welfare Officer to join a school we are working with. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting student wellbeing, supporting attendance, and working closely with pupils, families, and external agencies to ensure every child is safe, supported, and able to thrive.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\n * Monitor and support pupil attendance, punctuality, and wellbeing\\n\\n * Work with students experiencing social, emotional, or pastoral difficulties\\n\\n * Liaise with parents/carers to address welfare and attendance concerns\\n\\n * Support safeguarding procedures in line with school policies and statutory guidance\\n\\n * Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports and referrals where required\\n\\n * Work collaboratively with teaching staff, senior leaders, and external professionals\\n\\n * Provide early intervention and signposting to appropriate support services\\n\\nEssential Requirements:\\n\\n * First Aid qualification\\n\\n * Previous experience in a school-based role\\n\\n * Strong working knowledge of SIMS\\n\\nThe Ideal Candidate Will Have\\n\\n * Experience working with children or young people in an educational, or welfare setting\\n\\n * A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities\\n\\n * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills\\n\\n * The ability to build trusting relationships with pupils and families\\n\\n * Confidence in working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team\\n\\n * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail\\n\\nWhat We Offer:\\n\\n * Competitive pay of £15–£17 per hour\\n\\n * Temporary-to-permanent opportunity\\n\\n * Support from Complete Classroom Services throughout your placement\\n\\n * A rewarding role supporting student wellbeing\\n\\nIf you are an experienced School Welfare Officer or student support professional and are available to start ASAP, we would love to hear from you.\\n\\nApply today by emailing your updated CV
