CCS are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced School Caretaker to join a welcoming primary school.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous caretaking, facilities or premises experience who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean and secure school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening and securing the school premises as required.
- Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs.
- Completing routine health and safety checks.
- Ensuring the school grounds and buildings are safe, clean and well maintained.
- Setting up and moving furniture and equipment when required.
- Monitoring site security and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Liaising with school staff and contractors.
- Responding to general site-related issues and supporting the smooth running of the school.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a caretaker, premises or facilities role is desirable.
- Good general maintenance and DIY skills.
- A reliable, proactive and flexible approach to work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- A strong understanding of health and safety.
- Must hold an Enhanced DBS certificate.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 11:15am – 6:45pm.
