Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Practitioner who has experience within Children’s Services and is looking for a new adventure with a Local Authority.

The main purpose of this role is:

  • To safeguard and promote the wellbeing of vulnerable children and young people through the provision of high-quality social work practice, supporting them to achieve their full potential, living within their family if safe to do so.
  • Participate in effective partnership working and engagement and to work collaboratively with a range of organisations, statutory and voluntary in delivering services to children and young people.
  • To comply with legislation, statutory guidance and local policies and procedures
  • To be competent in all areas of the PCF at Experienced Social Worker level and The Knowledge and Skills Statement (KSS) for approved child and family practitioners.

Essential:

  • 3-5 years post qualifying experience
  • Experience in Care Proceedings & Court Work
  • Full UK driving license plus access to a vehicle, business cover (inc. carrying passengers)
  • Must have a current in date DBS.

Benefits:

  • Hybrid working- 2/3 days a week in the office + 5 days a week when on duty (if applicable)
  • 3-month contract with the potential for this to be extended.
  • Free On-Site Parking
