Shifts: Wake and sleep night shifts | Thursday and Friday | 6.30 pm - 12 am (nights) 12 am - 6 am (sleep night) 6 am - 9 am (days)

What you’ll do:
Join a rewarding role providing 1:1 care for a 16-year-old girl with a spinal cord injury in their family home. You will play a vital part in ensuring her safety, comfort, and independence, supporting her to enjoy everyday activities such as reading, watching films, and listening to music. The client lives at home with her family and their dog; the role involves providing one-to-one support, including escorting her to school and offering support throughout the night. The ideal person will be kind, patient, and able to build a trusting relationship while ensuring her safety and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities:
- Personal care, bowel management, and catheter care.
- Driving to school, appointments, and outings.
- Supporting daily routines and interests.
Applicants must be comfortable working in a family home with a dog present.
Qualifications:
You don’t need complex care experience to apply for this role, as this is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills and become part of a team that makes a real difference. You will receive full nurse-led training and ongoing clinical support to develop skills in various areas. A full UK licence and access to your own vehicle is required to drive the client’s manual car as part of the role.
