Complete Building Solutions Ltd is a well-established and professionally run local building company, who specialise in prestigious domestic extensions and new builds. Due to an ever expanding workload, we are now looking to recruit additional permanent General Builders / Multi-skilled Trades with experience in all aspects of building, to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a skilled builder who can work on a variety of projects, including new builds, extensions and renovations, mainly in the residential field. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, growing company with a full order book and a long term future.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out all aspects of construction work on mainly residential buildings
- Use a variety of tools and equipment to complete building tasks
- Work from drawings, and specifications to plan building activities
- Undertake demolition works, bricklaying, drainage, 1st/2nd fix carpentry, roofing, studwork, boarding, minor plumbing, kitchen installations, bathroom installations etc.
- Carry out finishing work, such as plastering, painting, and tiling
- Manage the ordering and delivery of building materials and equipment
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Communicate with project managers, clients, and other team members
- Not to be afraid to push a barrow or a broom if needed, to deliver high-quality results on every project.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a General Builder or similar role
- Multi-trade experience, with the ability to undertake a range of building tasks
- Knowledge of building materials and their properties
- Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong time management to arrive on site on time and complete tasks efficiently
- Willingness to travel to different jobsites as required
- Valid UK driver's license
- Must have own tools and van
