The Role
We are looking for a People Partner, reporting directly to the CEO. This is a unique opportunity to shape and deliver the full people agenda - from recruitment and onboarding to colleague relations, engagement, and organisational development. You will operate as both a strategic advisor to leadership and a hands-on HR generalist, building foundations, implementing systems, and driving a strong people culture.
Key Responsibilities
- People Strategy & Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team on all people-related matters
- Define and deliver a pragmatic people strategy aligned to business goals
- Build and embed a strong, values-led culture
- Build strong relationships across the business to coordinate delivery of people initiatives
- Organisational Development & Change
- Support organisational design and workforce planning as the business grows
- Lead or contribute to change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and adoption
- Support and lead change initiatives using organisational development (OD) principles
- Design and implement organisational structures that support growth and efficiency
- Talent, Performance & Development
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and hiring strategies
- Design and deliver effective onboarding processes to ensure strong colleague integration
- Lead on talent management, performance processes, and development planning
- Coach leaders to improve team effectiveness, engagement, and performance
- Support the identification and development of future talent
- Colleague Experience & Engagement
- Develop and implement initiatives to improve colleague engagement, wellbeing, and retention
- Act as a key point of contact for colleague queries and support
- Drive initiatives that enhance company culture and colleague experience
- Colleague Relations & HR Operations
- Manage all colleague relations matters, providing clear, fair, and compliant guidance
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice
- HR Systems, Process Improvement & Insight
- Identify, select, and implement a new HR and payroll system
- Streamline and standardise HR processes, improving efficiency and data accuracy
- Ensure effective use of systems to support reporting and decision-making
- Use data and insight to drive improvements in engagement, retention, and performance
- Translate people metrics into actionable business recommendations
- Reward, Inclusion & Culture
- Provide guidance on reward, recognition, and compensation approaches
- Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across the organisation
- Promote a culture of openness, collaboration, and high performance
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- HR qualified with 7+ years’ experience in human resources including People partnering experience (or senior people-management experience).
- Experience operating as a standalone HR lead or in a small team environment
- Track record of delivering across the full colleague lifecycle
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge appropriately
- Proven ability to lead change and deliver results
- Able to turn people priorities into measurable improvements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Skills & Capabilities
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice, with the ability to apply it pragmatically
- Operates effectively at both strategic and operational levels, influencing senior leaders including CEO
- Builds strong, trusted relationships and collaborates across the organisation
- Uses data, insight, and problem-solving skills to drive decisions and improve outcomes
- Focuses on high-impact priorities, turning plans into measurable results
- Navigates complexity with confidence, taking ownership and fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture
