We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Football Coach looking to join the City Football Team on our Al Jazira Academy partnership. You’ll need a UEFA B qualification (minimum), great confidence and communication skills, and a desire to learn and improve.

Your Impact

  • Ensure all the City Football Group coaching philosophies, methodology and principles are incorporated into the delivery of the program.
  • Support the lead staff pre, during and post delivery.
  • Support the wider team with reviewing deliveries and making suggestions to better the program.
  • Work both individually and collectively as part of a team in ensuring the project is delivered to the required levels and expectations.
  • Support the City Football Middle East office with local and regional activations.
  • Maintain professional conduct always in both on and off field environments.

What we’re looking for

  • UEFA B minimum.
  • Member of a FA to maintain their Coach License or International equivalent.
  • Education in sports coaching or teaching.
  • Post-holder must hold or obtain at the earliest opportunity the relevant safeguarding training (i.e. FA Safeguarding Children Workshop).
  • Experience coaching in a football environment.
  • Proven experience working with players from varying backgrounds and cultures.
  • Experience implementing and developing a football coaching syllabus.
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of planning, delivering and reviewing sessions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of player development and the four-corner model.
  • Experience working within a professional Football Club or sporting organisation.
  • To have flexibility to travel when required to support projects both in the UK and Internationally.
  • Ability to create a positive working environment that represents Manchester City and the local partner in the marketplace.
  • To have the ability to evaluate and review programs on completion.
  • To have coached within an academy environment.
