Department/Location: Huddersfield Town AFC Academy, the Canalside Training Centre.
Reports to Academy Director.
Purpose of the Role
Working with the U9-U16 age groups, the post holder will be responsible for supporting the Academy Physiotherapists / Sports Therapists in delivering a physiotherapy and rehabilitation programme and immediate medical cover on training and match days.
Role Specific Responsibilities
- Support the Academy Physiotherapists / Sports Therapists in delivering a comprehensive Physiotherapy programme.
- Liaise with other Academy Sports Therapists regarding treatment, management and return to play of all Academy players.
- Deliver individualised assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation to all Academy players as required.
- Provide match day medical cover (home and away, including evenings and weekends).
- Support the Academy injury audit.
- Maintain up to date and accurate injury notes for all Academy players in line with regulatory requirements.

Salary and Hours
Up to £20.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Part-time, 0 – 8 hours per week working evenings and weekends to cover fixtures (flexibility with days and times of work is required). There are up to three positions available.
We are looking for suitably qualified Physiotherapists or Sports Therapists to join our Academy medical team, working closely with Academy players and staff. The successful candidates will predominantly work with players in the U9-U16 age groups and will be responsible for contributing to a sports therapy programme and providing immediate medical cover for young footballers in training sessions and live fixtures.
