This is a hands-on role to cover all the Maintenance Engineering activities on shift and assist the coordination and completion of the Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedules and correctives across all company's production machinery. Managing a team of Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers on a 4 on 4 off Night / Day shift.
Location: Market Drayton
Hours: Days/Nights rotation (4 on 4 off shift pattern)
Salary: £53,261 per annum
Key Duties:
- Assist management in direct oversight of department's daily operation.
- Supervise and participate in the completion of the assigned PMs to ensure departmental KPI's.
- Clear communication of breakdowns and repairs done by verbal, email and by populating the HolisTech Engineering shift report.
- Perform major repair of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to identify and implement improvements to the PMs to make them more effective.
- Develop and maintain relations with the Planned Maintenance Manager, Operations, QA / Technical on manufacturing and operational concerns.
- Supervise the pre-startup of production equipment.
- Identify efficiency opportunities and improvements to plant to enhance operation productivity.
- Company procedures, legislation and Good working practices are adhered to.
- Assign, train, develop and supervise work of engineering on shift.
Safety, Health & Environment
- Ensure H&S is not compromised in any way by either yourself or others.
- To ensure that Health & Safety is not compromised in any way by engineers or contractors when completing their task.
- Health & Safety practices are followed and displayed at all times.
- Health & Safety Meetings are attended by an Engineering representative.
Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Effective communication and a good understanding of FMCG production activities.
- Team to complete assigned PMs and Work request to the KPIs agreed.
- Good communication and updates given to all relevant departments.
- Clear description of the fault and successful rectification.
- Hands on to support the engineers. All breakdowns and planned repairs are done effectively and to the allocated time.
- Evolvement and improve the written PMs to ensure they are effective and give value.
- Good communication and ability to discuss issues, attain good feedback.
- Ensure that all plant and equipment complete a Pre-start-up with no start-up issues.
- Equipment performance and capability to complete production plan and cost savings.
- No reported incidents and malpractice.
- Effective and productive team.
