We are currently seeking proactive and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as General Airside Operative. This role will cover all aspects of our airside operation. We will actively foster the development of your skills and knowledge necessary for the role.

- Hours: 5 out of 7 days - Flexibility to cover morning, evenings and nights required
- Pay: Β£12.72

Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and load baggage onto conveyor belts and handling equipment for transportation to aircraft or storage areas.
- Utilise baggage handling systems and equipment to track, scan, and transfer luggage to designated flights.
- Ensure compliance with airline and airport security procedures and regulations while handling and processing baggage.
- Ensure the AAA is complete for all baggage carts which leave the baggage hall carousel or MUP areas.
- Interior cleaning of aircrafts using approved cleaning materials and equipment.
- Removing and disposing of rubbish from the aircraft.
- Cleaning all interior areas of aircraft cabin including vacuuming carpets and cleaning all equipment and surfaces.
- Replenishing seat pockets with airline material as required.
- Ensuring the aircraft is presented as per customer requirements including arranging seat belts, placement of headrests, pillows and blankets.
- Meet arriving flights and supervising passengers on the ramp along with supervising crossings at the head of stands, this will include departing flights.
- Loading, offloading, transport, delivery, sorting of baggage and cargo.
- Driving and/or use of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to perform the baggage and ramp activities: baggage tractors, loading belts, hi-loaders pallet movers, baggage carts, ULD dollies and pallets.
- Aircraft assistance: Chocking, Conning, Extinguishers, PIGS and GSE handling on arrival and departure.
- Driving and use of the GSE to perform the aircraft assistance activities: Push-back, Ground Power Unit, FEGP/400Hz, Air Start Unit, Air Conditioning Unit, Aircraft potable water, toilet services and De-Icing.
- Aircraft Safety: Damage and FOD checks on arrival and departure.
- Adhere to high standards of service excellence, professionalism, and teamwork in all interactions and tasks.
Requirements
- Previous experience in baggage handling, or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines and priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with colleagues, supervisors, and external stakeholders.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational requirements.
