First Call Aviation has immediate anond last remaining opportunities to join the de-icing team with our client at Luton Airport
As an Aircraft De-icer you\’ll be responsible for ensuring that aircraft and vehicles are de-iced and in condition to operate as normal through winter. You\’ll be required to work outdoors at a height of up to 40ft above the ground inside a heated spraying cab. You\’ll be also trained to drive vehicles and operate various de-icing equipment.
Interview Dates: now ongoing
Benefits: Guaranteed 30hrs per week plus additional hours available, full roster for the whole winter season up until April 2026
Shifts For Aircraft De-Icer:
Shift pattern: 3 days on 3 days off
Early Shift: 03:00 to 09:00
Lates: 16:00 to 22:00 or last contracted departure
General Duties For Aircraft De-Icer:
- De-icing and Anti-icing aircraft,
- Ensure that the vehicles have sufficient fuel and glycol
- Driving de-icing vehicles/trucks airside safely and in accordance with company training
- Your role is extremely important in keeping aircrafts and passengers safe. You will perform pre-planning check on the equipment and trucks. Ensure that the vehicles are clean and in good working order
- Communicating with Pilots.
- During warmer days, you may be involved in other duties onsite. This could be cleaning the trucks or helping the team out in the unit.
Requirements For Aircraft De-Icer:
- Full Valid/Clean UK driving license
- Flexibility with the working hours (as these can be subject to change)
- Ideally live no more than a 40-minute commute to the airport
- Good communication skills
- Be able to work from heights of up to 40ft
- Good IT Skills
- 5-year check-able history to gain an airside pass
- Able to work outside in all weathers.
- Clean criminal record After a successful probation period
