As a Service Operations Manager at Compco Fire Systems, you’ll be at the heart of the Service Department, where your strategic thinking and operational expertise will help shape the future of our Service Team. This management role is central to ensuring the smooth operation of essential services that support Compco Fire Systems' growth plans. As Service Operations Manager, you’ll oversee a wide range of critical initiatives to advance our services.

This is your chance to take ownership of a vital area of Compco Fire Systems, where you’ll lead the planning and delivery of essential support to our customers. Reporting to the Service & Maintenance Manager, you’ll be responsible for the full lifecycle of the service area, from strategy to execution, ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You’ll be the go-to expert, providing insights and leadership to keep our Service Team on track and aligned with Compco Fire Systems' ambitions. The role is located on site at our Worcester Head Office and requires the successful candidate to have a full UK driving license.

What will you be doing

  • Lead the delivery of critical site services, ensuring operations run seamlessly and providing excellent customer service to our clients.
  • Oversee contracts, ensuring they meet all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Enable cross-functional collaboration between our regional teams, aligning key decisions with wider business strategy.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure services are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Analyse work practices and processes, identifying any areas of improvement and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and company standards.
  • Define the scope of service works to resolve delivery challenges.
  • Drive performance, provide mentorship, and monitor KPI’s for our Service Team.

Who are you?

You will be educated to degree level or possess equivalent senior management experience in either the construction, utilities compliance management, or facilities management industries. You will have strong leadership abilities and have demonstrable experience in driving high-performance teams. You’re a strategic thinker, confident communicator and proactive team player. If you hold industry recognised certifications or IOSH accreditation, that’s a bonus but what really matters most is your commitment to learning, your track record of delivery and your drive to make meaningful impact.
