We are seeking a proactive and organised Operations Coordinator to support the day‑to‑day operational excellence of our Build‑to‑Rent (BTR) residential portfolio across the UK. You will have a vital role within the Facilities and Operations team, providing the necessary service coordination and administrative support, covering an array of operational aspects. You’ll act as a key link between residents, contractors, on‑site teams and central operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilities & Maintenance Coordination: Serve as the first point of contact for facilities‑related enquiries and maintenance requests across the BTR portfolio. Log, triage and assign work orders to approved contractors, ensuring timely completion and high service standards. Coordinate planned preventative maintenance (PPM), statutory inspections, and building compliance activities. Maintain accurate asset register records, certificates, risk assessments and warranties.
  • Resident Experience, Events and Communication: Support the operations team in delivering a seamless resident journey, ensuring building standards are consistently high, promoting community engagement. Support the annual events programme, ensuring events align with community needs. Assist in the planning and running of events across the portfolio, including liaising with suppliers, setting up, running and closing events. Collaborate with resident and operations teams to align events with resident needs, ensuring events comply with safety and operational standards. Contribute to improving service quality, building presentation and resident satisfaction.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Support the implementation of company H&S policies to ensure compliance at all sites. Assist with fire, legionella, asbestos, lift and electrical safety management processes. Track and document corrective actions arising from audits, inspections, incident reports. Participate in emergency procedure planning and support drills where required.
  • Operations & Contractor Management: Liaise with contractors and suppliers, coordinating site visits and obtaining quotations. Ensure contractors adhere to site rules, H&S requirements and service‑level agreements. Assist in tendering exercises and contractor performance reviews.
  • Financial & Administrative Support: Assist with budget tracking, processing of purchase orders, invoicing and reconciliation of maintenance and other expenditure. Support head office operation team members with report preparation and notetaking. Order and monitor event inventory supplies and control the roll out of supplies on sites. Maintain accurate documentation and digital filing systems. Support mobilisation/demobilisation plans for all CompassRock assets. Administer disputes from the Ombudsman and residents.

Qualifications Required Qualifications, Skills and Personal Qualities:

  • GCSEs, A Levels, Level 3 qualification in a related area.
  • Basic H&S training (e.g., manual handling, fire marshal).
  • IWFM Level 3 or Level 4 (Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management).

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in property management, events, facilities coordination, or operations within residential or commercial real estate (BTR experience advantageous).
  • Understanding of basic building systems (HVAC, M&E, fire safety, lifts).
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of UK H&S and compliance frameworks desirable.

Remuneration / Bonuses / Benefits

  • Base Salary: £28k Negotiable.
  • Bonus: Discretionary Bonus Scheme.
  • Benefits: 25 days of annual leave; Private health insurance; Nest Pension Scheme; Cycle to Work Scheme; Company Sick Pay.

Working Hours

  • 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm incl. 1‑hour lunch break.

Job Type

  • Full‑time, 40 hours per week.

  • This position is required to work on site, across different locations.
