The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 £ per year.
You will provide support and companionship to a range of adults living in our service located in Durham. You will promote independence and enable clients to live an independent and fulfilling lifestyle. You must be self‑motivated and ensure the quality of support provided is consistent with current legislation. This is a fast‑paced yet highly rewarding position. You will need to think on your feet, be reliable and punctual, as the people you support will rely on you to help them live their best lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop clients' life skills and personal interests
- Support clients with medication and help them achieve their own goals and aspirations
- Arrange social activities in the home and in the local community
- Promote the independence of every client we support
The Ideal Candidate
- Use previous experience and/or transferable skills to promote independent living for clients
- May have experience with Mental Health, Autism or Learning Disabilities in a work setting or from personal experience (training provided)
- Have a natural sense of empathy and good common sense
- Have an easy‑going personality and are able to understand others who may display challenging behaviour
- Have great organisational skills and ability to think creatively
- Are punctual, reliable and can think quickly and effectively
