Compassion in World Farming International is a global movement transforming the future of food and farming. We are seeking a passionate Interim Global Events Manager to join our highly successful Global Fundraising team, where you’ll use your expertise to create and deliver inspiring events that help end factory farming.

Job Type: Part time; Interim Freelancer/Consultant

Location: Remote - With some working from our HQ in Godalming for meetings, and/or travelling to venue viewings or meetings.

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Events professional to provide interim support within our ambitious Global Fundraising team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-impact philanthropy and legacy bespoke events that engage, inspire, and strengthen relationships with our international donors and prospects, supporting our mission to end factory farming.

  • Global Events Strategy: Helping to shape and deliver a comprehensive events programme that strengthens donor engagement and supports income growth.
  • Event Planning and Execution: Organise donor receptions, immersive webinars, exclusive briefings, and legacy events across the UK, US, and Europe.
  • Donor Engagement: Create meaningful in-person and virtual experiences for mid-level and major donors, as well as legacy pledgers.
  • Creative Event Design: Combine creativity, organisational skills, and attention to detail to craft compelling and compassionate event experiences.
  • Type of Events: This role focuses on high-value donor engagement, rather than mass participation fundraising. You will lead events such as major gift donor receptions, mid-level donor gatherings, legacy supporter events, and occasional internal team away days.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong connections with donors and stakeholders to enhance loyalty and long-term support.

To succeed in this interim role, you’ll need to be a confident and creative events professional with a passion for delivering memorable experiences that drive positive change.

Skills and experience you’ll need to bring as our Global Events Manager:

  • Event Management Expertise: Proven track record in planning and delivering both in-person and virtual fundraising events that create meaningful donor connections.
  • Fundraising and Engagement Knowledge: Experience working in a fundraising or membership environment, with the ability to tailor events to strengthen engagement, stewardship, and giving.
  • Organisational and Project Management Skills: Highly organised, detail focused, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced international setting.
  • Relationship Building and Communication: Skilled at developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and Collaboration: Proactive, flexible, and collaborative, with the ability to work effectively across international teams and event platforms.
