Location: Godalming, Surrey - HQ. Hybrid working pattern 2x days per week in the office: Tuesdays & Thursdays. The office is located close to Godalming station, with direct trains from/to London Waterloo in approximately 45 minutes.

About the role
As our UX/UI Designer, you’ll deliver user-centric design across digital products and supporter journeys, with a clear focus on maximising engagement and conversion. Sitting within the Digital Product team, you will help create high-quality, intuitive digital experiences that support our long-term organisational and fundraising strategies. As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Designing and optimising user experiences - Creating intuitive, user-centred journeys across digital products, websites and donation flows.
- Producing wireframes, prototypes and interaction designs - Supporting new features and improvements that reduce friction and improve engagement, conversion and retention.
- Using research and insight to inform design decisions - Gathering supporter insight, usability findings and analytics input to shape practical design recommendations.
- Maintaining accessibility, usability and design quality standards - Applying inclusive design principles and collaborating with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and consistently.
- Supporting continuous optimisation - Contributing to testing, iteration and shared learning to improve key supporter journeys over time.
About you
To succeed as our UX/UI Designer, you’ll need to bring specialised knowledge of UX/UI design for digital platforms and products, as well as a strong understanding of responsive, mobile-first interface design. You’ll need to be confident translating user needs, organisational goals and practical delivery considerations into clear, accessible and engaging digital experiences.
Skills and experience you’ll need:
- Specialised knowledge of UX and UI design for digital platforms and products, ideally with some fundraising or ecommerce exposure.
- Experience using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent tools, and wireframing or interactive prototyping tools such as Figma.
- Experience supporting or conducting usability testing and translating findings into meaningful design improvements.
- A practical understanding of digital accessibility and inclusive design, including familiarity with WCAG principles.
- The ability to explain design decisions clearly to non-design colleagues and incorporate feedback constructively.
