Who are Compassa?
Compassa is a premium NEBOSH and IOSH online learning partner. We’ve grown rapidly because we focus on course quality and pass rates, and not exclusively on our sales. We provide a level of support and exam insight that is rare in this industry. Since launching our first course in 2020, we have become known as one of the premier NEBOSH Learning Partners in the world, with some of the highest pass rates available, making use of award-winning and innovative course design techniques. Over the last two years, our student numbers have grown by 70% and continue to increase.
The Role
A large part of this job is repetitive. Grading can be relentless. You will spend 1 to 3 hours most mornings climbing a "mountain" of mock exams and assignments, marking the same questions for different learners. We need someone who doesn't mind that grind because they understand how critical that feedback is to a learner’s success. Your marking will need to be accurate, fair, and fast. And your feedback must be personalised, helpful, direct, and encouraging.
- Answering Technical and Customer Queries: Providing expert-level support via email and phone. You’ll also provide occasional cover for our main phone line and live chat.
- Course Development: Reviewing and refining our materials to ensure they are the best in the market.
- Closing Interviews: Handling the interview process for NEBOSH learners.
- Hosting Webinars: Presenting engaging, live sessions for our learners.
- Compliance and Record Keeping: Maintaining malpractice records, keeping detailed course changelogs, conducting course reviews, and taking a lead role in awarding body audits.
- Essential Admin: Handling the necessary paperwork that keeps the business moving.
What You Must Bring
- Current or Former NEBOSH Examiner Status: This is a MUST.
- Communication: Your spoken and written English must be excellent.
- Engagement: You need to be able to deliver a webinar in a way that actually keeps people awake and interested.
- Reliability: You’ll be working remotely, so we need someone disciplined enough to manage a high volume of work.
- IT Skills: You'll know your way around a laptop, how to use the internet, email, Zoom, calendars.
- A Commitment to Excellence in Service: You take pride in meeting (and beating) marking turnaround times.
- Strategic Thinker with Initiative: You look for trends and suggest improvements.
- Fun: You will have a personality which fits in with our irreverent style.
Qualifications & Professional Standing
- NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma (or an equivalent such as NCRQ Diploma, NVQ6, or IOSH Level 6 Diploma).
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (minimum).
- CertIOSH status or equivalent (minimum), though CMIOSH/CFIOSH/FIIRSM or equivalent is highly desirable.
The Experience You Bring
- NEBOSH Examiner experience: You are a current or former NEBOSH examiner.
- Training Experience: You have demonstrable experience (typically 5+ years) delivering IOSH and NEBOSH courses.
- Real-World H&S Management: You have extensive experience (typically 5+ years) managing health and safety across various industries.
Why Compassa?
- Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience and skill-set).

- Enhanced Pension: A market-leading 10% employer contribution (on qualifying earnings, after 6 months' service).
- Flexibility: 100% Remote.
