Children’s Occupational Therapist – Hybrid – North West
Location: Warrington based with North West travel
Permanent: 37.5 hours/week

Sensory Integration Training is essential
Compass Associates is proud to be working with a private provider of specialist paediatric Occupational Therapy services, to recruit an Occupational Therapist to join their North West team. Your role will be based at a state-of-the-art sensory and trauma clinic in Warrington, where you will work with children presenting with a range of complex needs and conditions, including autism spectrum conditions, learning disabilities, sensory processing difficulties, cerebral palsy, physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and backgrounds of trauma and attachment difficulties.
Although based at the Warrington clinic, you will also be required to travel across Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside to support children within their school and home environments. You will work closely with families, carers, schools and healthcare professionals to provide specialist recommendations regarding equipment, assistive technology and environmental adaptations. You will work as part of a wider Occupational Therapy team and will receive support from Specialist Occupational Therapists, Advanced Practitioners and the Clinical Director.

Location
The clinic is based in Warrington and you’d visit children across Manchester, Preston, Liverpool, Cheshire and the Wirral. The clinic is commutable from Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, St Helens, Macclesfield, Leigh, Widnes, Wigan, Salford, Stockport, Runcorn and surrounding areas.
Candidate
The successful candidate must have:
- A degree in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Own car and UK driving licence
- At least 3 years’ experience working with children who have complex needs, learning disabilities, brain injuries, backgrounds of trauma and/or physical disabilities
- Minimum of Level 2 in Sensory Integration and willingness to do additional SI training
- Good knowledge of anatomy and physiology
