Who You\’ll Join: You\’re stepping into a trusted M&E contractor servicing Somerset and surrounding areas, specialising in reactive maintenance, compliance, PPM, and periodic projects. You\’ll join a vibrant team known for reliable peformance and a strong local reputation—where work is steady, varied, and valued. Role Summary – M&E Business Development As the M&E Business Development Manager, you\’ll oversee the commercial strategy across that business, and spend your time establishing and closing on revenue generating opportunites. The business offers servicing, maintenance works and the occasional projects. You\’ll be technically competent in the Building Services/M&E or Electrical sector. Again, as an M&E Business Development Manager you will establish and close on opportunites to ensure growth for the business as a whole across the South West. Location & Salary * Location: Weston‑super‑Mare, Somerset * Competitive salary will be offered—please enquire if you like the sound of the role but the salary doesnt quite work for you! Other things you\’ll do as an M&E Business Development Manager: * Manage monthly valuations of maintenance works in progress, forecasting final costs and anticipated revenue. * Measure, value, submit, and negotiate contract variations specific to the services offered by the business. * Provide contractual and commercial guidance to technical teams. * Compile, submit propsals, and negotiate contracts for maintenance contracts and occasional projects. * Vet tenders for opportunites and potential contracts. * Ensure strict adherence to SLAs etc on contracts won. What We\’re Looking For * Previous experience in M&E Business Development—particularly within reactive maintenance, compliance, or PPM environments. * Proven ability to help win contracts using your technical expertise an also your relationship building, rapport building and networking skills. * Strong communication, negotiation, and commercial acumen. * Relevant experience within Electrical or M&E Business Development.
