We are looking for a commercially minded Management Accountant to join our ANZ Finance team. This is a high-impact role focused on driving expense management, cost transparency, and financial discipline across the business. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll partner with senior stakeholders to deliver budgeting, forecasting, and expense analysis, while identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency and support strategic decision-making.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys influencing business outcomes:
- Lead end-to-end expense management including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting
- Analyse cost performance, identify variances, and provide meaningful insights, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting to support business decisions
- Develop business cases, cost-benefit analysis, and financial models
- Partner with senior stakeholders and cost centre owners across ANZ to challenge spend and drive accountability
- Develop models and tools to enhance planning accuracy and efficiency
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in expense management and reporting
- Implement systems, automation, and process enhancements, simplifying and standardising financial reporting frameworks
What skills and experience you’ll bring on this journey:
- CA/CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
- Significant experience in management accounting, ideally with a focus on cost control and expense management
- Proven track record delivering cost optimisation initiatives
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights
- Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and outcomes-driven
- Comfortable working across multiple systems and data environments
