Ready to lead a team that changes lives? If you can stay calm in the chaos, bring clarity to complexity and lift others as you go, this role is built for you. As Practice Supervisor for the JEFF (Journey to Enrichment, Fulfilment and Friendship) project, you’ll be at the centre of work that supports children and young people facing both emotional wellbeing challenges and youth justice involvement.

You’ll be the main point of contact for emotional health support, working directly with families, schools and other professionals to ensure every child gets the right support at the right time. You’ll assess, plan and deliver evidence based interventions, lead your team through daily duty meetings, and offer expert clinical guidance when it matters most. You’ll hold your own caseload, support risk planning and work hand in hand with VCSE partners and local agencies to meet young people where they are.

But this is more than just delivery. It’s about coaching, inspiring and growing a team of practitioners who rely on your leadership to stay focused and values led. You’ll set the tone, keep the energy, and help shape a service that doesn’t stand still. If you want to lead with purpose, empathy and real impact also help others do the same, then this is your chance to step up.

About You

Want to lead a team that does the right thing, not just the easy thing? You’re someone who brings clarity, calm and purpose, even when the work is messy or fast moving. You know how to hold space for others while keeping a service on track. You’ve likely balanced leadership with direct delivery, and you understand the importance of keeping the child or young person at the centre of everything you do.

You’ll bring:

  • A core professional qualification such as EMHP, PMHW, social work, nursing or another relevant mental health background
  • Experience delivering therapeutic interventions to children and young people
  • Confidence in clinical supervision and decision making, including safeguarding and managing risk
  • The ability to guide and develop others in a values led, strengths based way
  • Excellent partnership skills and a clear, compassionate communication style

You’ll be confident managing your own caseload, supporting daily triage, and building effective links across schools, services and communities. You stay grounded, solution focused and take pride in doing the work well.

At Compass, we look for people who are compassionate, committed and solution focused. If you believe in showing up, doing the right thing and bringing others with you, we think you’ll feel right at home. Be the Leader that empowers others to build brighter futures.
