Compass Associates have partnered with a valued client, a leading elderly care home provider to recruit an experienced Home Manager for one of their established residential and dementia services just outside of Colchester, Essex. This appointment forms part of a wider operational focus within the region and represents an opportunity for an ambitious and quality-driven leader to take ownership of a service with clear potential for progression and improvement.
The incoming Home Manager will play a key role in leading the home through its next phase, with a strong emphasis on team culture, compliance, resident experience and operational performance. The home provides elderly residential and dementia care within a medium-sized 60 bed setting and would particularly suit a manager who enjoys visible leadership, building stable teams and delivering sustainable improvement within the care home.
The Candidate
We are looking for an experienced elderly care leader with a strong background managing residential and dementia services. The successful candidate will be a confident leader, commercially aware and operationally focused, with the ability to motivate teams whilst maintaining high standards of care and governance. The home is currently rated Required Improvement with an action plan in place and now looking for a strong leader to put this plan into action and get the home to where it should be.

Key Requirements:
- Previous elderly care management experience
- Strong understanding of CQC standards and compliance
- Proven leadership and people management capability
- Experience driving quality, occupancy and team performance
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care or equivalent

Location
This role is based just outside of Colchester, Essex and is commutable from Halstead, Braintree, Chelmsford, Sudbury and surrounding areas.
