This is your opportunity to help create a service the community can have confidence in from day one. A brand new Oral Health service is launching in Tower Hamlets. We're looking for an experienced Clinical Manager to help build it from the ground up and provide the clinical leadership that will shape its future.
You'll lead a dedicated team, set high clinical standards, oversee innovative oral health programmes and work alongside schools, community organisations, commissioners and healthcare partners to ensure children, young people and families can access high quality oral health support when and where they need it. You'll do far more than manage a service. You'll influence how it develops, champion clinical excellence, use data and evidence to drive continuous improvement, and help embed oral health within the wider Young Health Hub to improve outcomes and reduce health inequalities across the borough.
Alongside this, you'll support and develop your team, build strong partnerships across the local health system and play a key role in creating a service that local people can trust and rely on. If you're excited for the opportunity to build a brand new service, lead with clinical excellence and improve the health of children, young people and families across Tower Hamlets, we'd love to hear from you.
Opportunities to build a brand new clinical service from day one are rare. You're an experienced dental professional who enjoys leading people, improving services and making a lasting difference to children, young people and families across Tower Hamlets. Essentially, we need you to have:
- A BSc Degree or Diploma in Dental Therapy (or equivalent).
- Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
- A Certificate in Fluoride Varnish Application.
- A postgraduate qualification in Oral Health Education or equivalent experience.
- Experience delivering oral health services in schools and community settings for children and young people.
- Experience leading teams delivering oral health services.
- Experience administering Fluoride Varnish and delivering oral health promotion.
- Knowledge of oral health education, GDC standards, oral health pathways and safeguarding.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly with children, young people and people who may be distressed.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- The ability to travel independently across Tower Hamlets, with occasional travel across England.
A leadership qualification, experience providing clinical supervision, working in multi-agency settings, using dental software or knowledge of school health services and reducing health inequalities would be advantageous but aren't dealbreakers.
