Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded elderly nursing home near Gillingham, who are seeking an experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to join their leadership team. This well-established home provides nursing, dementia and residential care and has a strong reputation for high-quality, person-centred care. This is an excellent opportunity for an existing Deputy Manager or Clinical Lead looking to step into a supportive, supernumerary leadership role.

The Role

  • Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day clinical and operational running of the home
  • Lead, mentor and develop the nursing and care teams
  • Ensure the home consistently delivers safe, effective and high-quality care
  • Oversee clinical governance, audits, care planning and compliance
  • Work closely as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Act as a positive role model with a hands-on, supportive leadership style

Candidate Requirements

  • RGN qualification with an active NMC pin
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Deputy Manager (or equivalent Clinical Lead role)
  • Previous experience working within a nursing home environment
  • Strong background in elderly and dementia nursing care
  • A genuine passion for elderly care and clinical excellence
  • Confident leadership, communication and organisational skills

Interview Process

  • Stage 1: Interview with the Home Manager
  • Stage 2: Formal interview with the Home Manager & Operations Manager

Location & Commutability

The home is based near Gillingham, Kent and is easily commutable from Chatham, Rainham, Snodland, Rochester, Bearsted, Sittingbourne, East Malling, Maidstone, Kemsley, Otham and Sevenoaks.
