Compass Associates are currently working in partnership with a healthcare provider on a highly confidential position, where they are seeking an individual to lead on a detailed financial audit. This is an interim position for a minimum of 3 months and will be based full-time on site at their head office in Cardiff.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver complex financial audits and investigations
- Plan, scope, and execute investigations ensuring evidence is gathered, analysed, and documented to a high standard
- Look in depth at financial records, transactions, contracts, procurement activity, and expense claims
- Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion
- Produce clear, concise, and well-evidenced investigation reports outlining findings, conclusions, and risk assessments
- Present findings to senior leadership, audit committees, regulators, or external bodies as required
Requirements
- Professionally qualified accountant or auditor (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent experience
- Proven ability to analyse financial data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing formal investigation reports
