Following a major merger and significant contract wins, they are now seeking Advanced MSK Clinicians specialising in Rheumatology to support the mobilisation of a flagship service in Essex. This is a rare opportunity to join a forward-thinking team shaping the future of integrated, community rheumatology care.
As an Advanced Rheumatology Clinician, you will utilise Advanced Practice expertise to function as a rheumatology specialist, managing a varied and complex clinical caseload within the community service setting. Your role involves not only clinical expertise but also leadership, research, education, and multidisciplinary collaboration. You will play a pivotal role in improving patient outcomes, advancing medical knowledge, and shaping the future of rheumatology healthcare.

- As an Advanced Practitioner, you will work within a one-stop rheumatology clinic model, providing expert assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients alongside a multidisciplinary team.
- This model offers a direct-access, streamlined patient pathway, moving away from traditional tiered systems and enabling faster, more effective care.
- You will use advanced musculoskeletal expertise to function as an experienced musculoskeletal Advanced Practitioner a complex clinical caseload within the integrated MSK Service.
- Conduct all clinical interventions and related actions in line with relevant professional standards, such as ESPIOG, CSP, and HPC, as well as the company standards and policies and where applicable, contract parameters and KPIs.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and to maintain a contemporary record of such activity, in line with recommendations of CSP and HPC.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary audit research and evaluation of the clinical effectiveness and evidence base for the management of musculoskeletal conditions. Work in collaboration with senior colleagues in other business sectors to contribute to the development and advancement of other services.
- Demonstrate ability to identify concerns regarding child safeguarding, welfare and child protection and safeguarding of adults at risk.
- Understand the processes for escalating concerns regarding child protection, welfare and safeguarding for their service or region.
- Ensure that their own personal mandatory training is up to date including refresher training and any other reasonable tasks.
- Pre-registration qualification to background profession (e.g. BSc/ MSc Physiotherapy).
- Registration with regulatory body (e.g. HCPC).
- Evidence of MSc level study or post-graduate training equivalent.
- Consistent delivery of quality clinical management of rheumatology and non-inflammatory persistent joint conditions for the patients presenting to the community service.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in the diagnosis and management of rheumatological conditions.
- Demonstrate exceptional clinical skills with a desire to develop and innovate in the field of rheumatology care.
- Experience with digital technologies in healthcare, including experience of undertaking remote consultations (telephone and video).
- Well organised, conscientious, and capable of managing the varied and often challenging demands of a caseload of complex patients in a variety of clinical and potentially pressured environments.
- Critical thinking and ability to adopt evidence-informed practice, within the field of rheumatology care, are a must.
- Able to communicate confidently and effectively with both patients and colleagues.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in leading and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
- Shared decision making and personalised care.
