We are seeking an organised, proactive, and customer-focused Assistant Beverage Manager to support the successful delivery of bar operations across race days and events. This role is responsible for assisting with stock management, team leadership, operational planning, and ensuring exceptional service standards are consistently maintained. Working closely with the Head of Beverage, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering efficient and high-quality beverage operations in a fast-paced event environment. Key Responsibilities- Stock & Inventory Management
- Complete event-day and monthly stock takes, maintaining accurate inventory records
- Place stock orders in line with operational and event requirements
- Receive, check, and record all stock deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met
- Support effective stock control procedures to minimise waste and maximise efficiency
- Event & Race Day Operations
- Coordinate and deliver full bar set-ups for race days and events
- Support the smooth running of bar operations during busy service periods
- Ensure all bars are fully prepared, stocked, and operationally compliant before opening
- Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and guest experience throughout events
- Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and support beverage team members during shifts and events
- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
- Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to maintain service excellence and operational standards
- Foster a positive and professional team culture
- Staffing & Coordination
- Work closely with the Head of Beverage to coordinate staffing requirements for events
- Assist with rota planning and ensure adequate team coverage across operations
- Support effective communication between departments to ensure seamless event delivery
- Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, licensing regulations, and health & safety procedures
- Promote and maintain responsible alcohol service at all times
- Uphold operational standards and ensure all teams follow best practice procedures
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within bar, beverage, or hospitality operations
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and event days
- Full Irish driving licence and access to own vehicle required (travel expenses provided)
