We are currently recruiting Food Handlers to support a range of food preparation and service operations across Derby. This is a flexible role offering a variety of shift patterns, with opportunities for overtime and long-term progression.
As a Food Handler, you will play a key role in the preparation and handling of food, ensuring everything is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing food items in line with recipes, guidelines, and service requirements
- Supporting general food preparation and handling tasks
- Assisting with set-up and organisation of work areas
- Carrying out basic checks to ensure food quality and presentation standards are met
- Packing, storing, and handling food items safely
- Labelling products where required, following simple guidelines
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety at all times
- Cleaning and sanitising work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Replenishing stock and assisting with deliveries as needed
- Working to daily schedules and supporting team targets
- Supporting the wider team with additional duties as required
