Facilities Maintenance Technician

Department: Facilities Management

Reports to: Technical Services Lead

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to carry out maintenance, inspection, and repair of building systems including furniture, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations across client sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver PPM and reactive maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Monitor plant, equipment, and building services
  • Respond to breakdowns and maintenance requests
  • Support installations, upgrades, and minor project works
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with H&S standards
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and stakeholders
  • Provide support to facilities department to ensure contract delivery

About You

  • Experience in FM, building services, or maintenance engineering
  • Knowledge of M&E systems, HVAC, and controls
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of health & safety practices
  • Reliable, organised, and team-focused

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent technical qualification
  • Full UK driving Licence (Essential)
  • IOSH Working safely or equivalent Health & Safety Qualification (Preferred)
  • 18th Edition, F-Gas, (advantageous)
