Overview:

Compass Associates are proud to be partnered with a specialist provider of Supported Living and Complex Homecare services, to recruit for a Clinical Lead. This newly created role forms part of the organisation’s growth strategy and focuses on clinical governance and the leadership of a well-established Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) team. This provider supports younger adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and complex behavioural needs across a range of community services. They are in a strong period of organic growth following several acquisitions and are now seeking a senior nurse leader to strengthen governance processes and elevate clinical practice across the group. This role offers a clear and exciting progression path, with succession planning in place to develop into a Director of Supported Living post.

Location:

This is a hybrid position requiring travel across services in Essex, with home or office-based work. The head office is located in Colchester, making the role commutable from Chelmsford, Ipswich, Braintree, Southend, Cambridge, Basildon, Romford and surrounding areas.

Criteria:

  • Registered Nurse (RNLD, RMN or RGN) with valid NMC PIN
  • Background in specialist Learning Disability or secure/forensic care settings
  • Strong understanding of PBS frameworks and their practical application
  • Previous experience managing geographically dispersed clinical or PBS teams
  • In-depth knowledge of clinical governance, incident management and regulatory compliance
  • Confident working across multi-site services and collaborating with senior leadership

Responsibilities Include:

  • Strategic oversight of clinical governance across services and drive quality assurance
  • Lead, support and develop a specialist PBS team (Practitioners, Lead and front-line staff)
  • Act as clinical escalation point for complex case reviews and incidents
  • Embed PBS practices and lead a culture of continuous improvement

Salary and Benefits:

£70,000 - £75,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
