This role is HYBRID – 3 days in the London OfficeJoining an established Real estate team, this is an opportunity for an experienced underwriter who has established relationships with the London brokers to write a worldwide book of property business.Candidates will be considered who have only written a UK book. Salaries on offer will be dependent on an individuals experience and keeping in line with other team members. My clients also appreciate at this time of year bonuses based on 2024 results will be due, so will offer compensation in the form of an introductory bonus.This is a dynamic and fast-growing team, and this role offers the opportunity to work with major clients, complex and bespoke programmes, and be an integral part of our clientsnext stage ofgrowth.Key responsibilities: 1. Underwriting Underwrite new business and renewal accounts according to defined underwriting guidelines and strategies 2. Financial – Contribute towards achieving the Real Estate financial plan. Support the Real Estate Leader in preparing financial plans, reforecasts and predictions. 3. Training & Mentoring provide training, mentoring, and act as a role model for more junior underwriters within the team. Take underwriting referrals 4. Compliance and Procedures – Meet company standards in respect of policy documentation, contract certainty, peer review, audit, compliance, legal and regulatory requirements. 5. Leadership – Support Real Estate Leader in establishing and promoting best practice within the team.Skills & Experience required:? Excellent working knowledge of the Real Estate insurance market, and understanding ofcompetitor analysis? An experienced, organised professional whose expertise is recognised externally? Results driven with ability to make decisions and work on your own initiative? Desire to continue to develop technical and broader business skills? Ability to execute and influence at all levels both internally and externally? Significant Property and Liability underwriting knowledge and experience specific to RealEstate clients?
