About Us
We are a growing facilities management company, expanding our operations in anticipation of a large upcoming contract. To support this growth, we are seeking a proactive and experienced Cleaning Manager to oversee our cleaning operations across Hampshire and surrounding areas. This is a hands-on, predominantly on-site role, with office-based work carried out from our Fareham, Hampshire office.
The Role
As Cleaning Manager, you will manage day-to-day cleaning contracts, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will supervise Cleaning Supervisors, oversee small works projects, and support the mobilisation of new and expanding contracts. This role requires eligibility for Security Check (SC) clearance, as some client sites are security-sensitive.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily cleaning operations, mainly on-site, ensuring high standards are maintained.
- Supervise and support Cleaning Supervisors and cleaning teams, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Conduct regular site inspections and implement improvements where required.
- Carry out office-based duties from Fareham, including reporting, scheduling, and administrative tasks.
- Ensure health and safety compliance, including risk assessments and incident reporting.
- Act as a secondary client contact, reporting operational issues and proposing solutions.
- Travel to surrounding counties as required; use of your own vehicle is required during probation (company fuel card provided).
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in cleaning or facilities management.
- Strong leadership, team management, and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality standards.
- Ability to manage multiple sites, projects, and priorities.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Eligible for SC security clearance.
