Compass Plus Technologies provides comprehensive, integrated and flexible payment platforms (licenses as well as processing services) to payment service providers, Fintech companies and financial institutions. Our customer base includes retail banks, processing centres, national switches, alternative payment companies and personalisation centres on a global scale. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and driven Project Manager to join a global, innovative, technology-focussed company and to help grow the business.

The successful candidate will have an extensive knowledge of the Payments Industry and will have previous experience of working in this field. Some of the duties are:

  • Managing external (customer) and internal (business) projects; bringing accuracy and efficiency in delivering processing solutions on time, on budget and per customer and/or business requirements
  • Conducting scoping studies, project analysis and planning phases/milestones of customer and/or internal business projects
  • Performing project risk assessment and management at customer and/or management request
  • Calculating the amount of resources (man-days) required for each phase of the project
  • Assessing the cost effectiveness and feasibility of the assigned projects
  • Drawing up and monitoring the project budgets
  • Preparing, organising approval and maintaining all of the required project documentation and reports
  • Managing the full lifecycle of projects in accordance with international and internal methodologies, from initiation through implementation and delivery
  • Managing change control procedures
  • Managing the project teams, including effective distribution of tasks, management of the workload, monitoring team activities, assessment of the work progress, holding progress meetings with the internal team and customer project team
  • Managing third party suppliers that are involved in the projects
  • Looking for opportunities to increase project revenue through the provision of extra services and to lower the cost of delivery to optimise the project team’s productivity
  • Overseeing and contributing to the analysis and interpretation of customer requirements as well as contributing to and signing off functional solution designs
  • Preparing project presentations and reports for customers and/or management
  • Effectively resolving project changes and collaborating, negotiating, and managing issue resolution
  • Performing post project implementation analysis and producing reports; suggesting changes to the established processes and procedures, if necessary
  • Managing ongoing customer relationships
  • Performing other related duties as assigned (including presale activity, participation in customer workshops and software license project management if/when necessary).

Required skills and knowledge:

  • Fluent in English (required)
  • Strong knowledge and experience of working with payments software
  • Educated to degree level
  • Previous experience of working within the Payments Industry
  • Deep understanding of the IT and Banking Software Industry
  • Problem solving skills
