We focus on developing novel treatments that have the potential to improve the lives of those who are suffering with mental health conditions and who are not helped by current treatments.

The Financial Accountant supports day‐to‐day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reporting. This hands‐on, technically focused role maintains balance sheet accounts and supports the Director, External Reporting and Senior Director, Controller with consolidated financial reporting and disclosure requirements across UK and US operations.

Location: Hybrid with Tuesday and Thursday in our Soho, London office.

Reports to: Director, Financial Controller.

Roles And Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for month‐end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal postings (accruals, intercompany transactions, prepayments), and analytical reviews.
  • Support the preparation of quarterly (10‐Q) and annual (10‐K) reporting under US GAAP, including audit schedules and documentation.
  • Assist with accounting and reporting for share‐based payments, lease obligations, and deferred tax calculations.
  • Prepare monthly US GAAP management reporting and annual IFRS statutory financial statements.
  • Support tax compliance processes across UK and US jurisdictions.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of financial controls and processes, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Undertake ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support management decision‐making.

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong academic background, with a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CA).
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge with experience in US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and take ownership of deliverables.
  • Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across time zones and functions.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable operating within a high‐growth organisation.
