The Teaching Assistant (TA) will contribute to the fulfilment of the mission and vision of the company and of the school towards providing excellent international education to all students in the school. In fulfilling the following responsibilities, the Teaching Assistant will be bound by any policies produced by the company and school.

  • Enable the child to achieve high standards of learning
  • Maximize teaching and learning time
  • Develop the child's skills across the curriculum
  • Assess the child's attainment and progress
  • Identify and respond appropriately to individual differences between children
  • Set appropriate and challenging targets for the children
  • Set and maintain clear expectations of children's behaviour and assist in securing appropriate standards of discipline
  • Present learning tasks and curriculum content in a clear and stimulating manner
  • Work with the children individually and in groups
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with children
  • Manage their own and the child's time effectively
  • Make a constructive contribution to the use of computers and other resources to aid learning
  • Help the child read set texts, worksheets, and other resources
  • Help the child set out work
  • Explain to the child what they are expected to do

Experience as learning support or similar role is required, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
