We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to oversee the cleanliness and presentation of our hotel. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and janitorial services, with a keen eye for detail and organisational skills. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead a team in maintaining high standards of hygiene and guest satisfaction. The Head Housekeeper will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and fostering a positive working environment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Develop cleaning schedules and allocate tasks to team members.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to maintain quality standards.
- Train new staff on cleaning procedures, health & safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
- Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Handle guest requests or complaints related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or hospitality management.
- Strong background in janitorial services or cleaning operations is highly desirable.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience within a hospitality environment is preferred.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of health & safety standards relevant to the hospitality industry.
- Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service quality.
