A Front of House Staff member is responsible for delivering excellent customer service across reception, restaurant, and bar areas. This role ensures guests receive a welcoming, professional, and enjoyable experience throughout their visit while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service & Reception Duties
- Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist guests with enquiries, reservations, and general information
- Manage guest check-ins, bookings, and seating arrangements where required
- Handle telephone calls and communicate messages accurately
- Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere at all times
- Restaurant & Bar Service
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and according to company standards
- Take customer orders accurately using tills or ordering systems
- Prepare and serve drinks in accordance with licensing regulations
- Clear and reset tables promptly to maintain cleanliness and presentation
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to requests or concerns professionally

- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in reception, restaurant, and bar areas
- Ensure tables, menus, service stations, and public areas are clean and fully stocked
- Follow health, hygiene, and food safety procedures at all times
- Assist with opening and closing duties across front of house areas
- Teamwork & Operational Support
- Work closely with kitchen, bar, and management teams to ensure smooth service
- Support colleagues during busy service periods
- Follow company procedures, policies, and safety standards
- Report maintenance issues, breakages, or customer concerns to management promptly
