We are looking for a proactive Government Vetting Administrator to play a vital role in supporting security clearance processes across ESS Government Services. About the Role
As the Government Vetting Administrator, you will be the central point of contact for vetting activity. You will manage the full vetting lifecycle for new starters and existing colleagues, ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant and processed on time. Working closely with MOD National Security Vetting teams, you will help maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and security throughout every case.
What You Will Be Doing
- Act as the main point of contact for vetting queries across MOD
- Manage end to end vetting for new starters and re vetting for existing colleagues.
- Liaise professionally with MOD NSV teams to ensure accurate, timely processing.
- Review vetting documentation for accuracy, completeness and compliance.
- Support colleagues in completing forms and understanding vetting requirements.
- Maintain up to date vetting trackers, digital records and internal systems.
- Keep managers informed of progress, delays and outcomes.
- Chase outstanding information and escalate risks where appropriate.
- Handle sensitive information in line with GDPR and security protocols.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Provide general administrative support including document production, scanning, filing and data entry.
- Take clear, concise meeting notes and distribute them appropriately.
- Coordinate meetings, diary bookings and room scheduling.
- Produce periodic reports on vetting performance and compliance.
- Support onboarding processes by aligning vetting with wider HR requirements.
- Assist with hospitality, events and operational activity as needed.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy across logs, databases and documentation.
- Handle enquiries professionally via phone and email.
- Follow company policies on confidentiality, H&S, data handling and quality.
Customer Service & Teamwork
- Deliver excellent service and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders.
