We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Sous Chef to help us create exceptional food experiences for Levy on a full-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.
Overall Purpose of the Role: Assisting the management of the food operation within The Venues Collection property. Working with the Head Chef and key stakeholders to deliver a consistent, compliant, and profitable department in accordance with all statutory requirements, company policies, and health and safety procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring consistency of the food offer throughout the hotel.
- Assisting with food ordering and stock rotation.
- Minimising and monitoring waste using Compass lead systems.
- Providing a high-quality, consistent product.
- Implementing and inspiring the team with current food trends and techniques.
- Supporting the delivery of meetings and events.
- Training kitchen, F&B, and sales teams on current products and service delivery.
- Adhering to company standards and striving for high success levels.
- Monitoring customer satisfaction reports.
- Staff retention and development, managing and developing team members for progression.
- Reporting to the Head Chef to identify areas for improvement and implementing changes.
- Managing rotas according to business needs.
- Maintaining high standards of HSE practices within the department.
- Overseeing FIR and allergen guidelines, providing information to customers as needed.
